I just bought new yoga pants and I wore them the last few nights (not evenings) just cuz, mostly because they are new and novel and I couldn't wait to exercise in them. Instead I lounged. Well, no. I did legit tasks but I did them in yoga pants.
I have to tell you right now, I don't do mega-casual. I highly approve of Stacy and Clinton disapproving of sweatpants and other heavily-loungetastic garments in public. Not that I am judging people, but it's sort of antithetical to me, to approach things from a dumpy sartorial standpoint. Perhaps I'm just hyper-neurotic, or too much of a 50's housewife who can't leave the house without full makeup.
Ha. No. I just personally would like to keep my days separate from my nights. Pajama-esque clothes kind of wear me down. I don't really relax, honestly, most of the time. (Okay, so I'm hyper-neurotic.)
With all that said, I am currently wearing my exercise clothes because I'm going out to study with my friend and colleague Jen and then we are going to yoga.
Otherwise I'd be wearing this, or a variation on this, my casual theme:
Black cargo-ish pants, black boots, black Stretch Armstrong hoodie. On my "off" (not teaching) days I tend to end up in this. Though sometimes I rock an outfit. I'm more trying to get stuff done (reading, writing, grading, etc.).
Yep. Black pants. The way to go, for me. No jeans allowed. Don't even get me started on jeans.
And since I'm so hyper-neurotic, I must insist that you know that whatever you choose to wear, I'm not going to give you crap about it. I don't get paid to, like S&C. ;) (But I wouldn't anyway. Unless we were close friends, and even then, it's doubtful. Wear what you want. Just hope and pray no one nominates you for What Not to Wear.)
