Been reading "Fellowship of the Ring" (again), so I want to call them jools. Heh heh.
Went to a (great) wedding yesterday, so I busted out the "wedding dress" (I do believe I've mentioned this before), which my little sister basically informed me was a disappointment to all people who have come to expect my flamboyancy, and after I got annoyed at this, I remembered that at least I brought my Sarah Coventry pink Lucite fruit... jools.
I love them so much. I bought them quite a few years ago, on the same day of my cousin's wedding. It was a great day - there was an open house at the nearby developmental center,
which is extremely historic (open house = open exploring), and then I went to an antique store housed in the former Redwood Inn,
a choice smorgasbord mod restaurant that we went to growing up. I miss it. I miss the handmade animal candles for sale at the register.
Anyways. I bought this set for something like $35, which is kind of ridiculous. But I looooooved (love) them. You can get them for a lot cheaper on eBay and elsewhere.
Anywho. This is a prettier picture -
but this picture shows the color more accurately -
and this picture shows me wearing them -
badly, in terms of picture quality but this picture shows the earrings -
which is rare. Meaning I don't often wear earrings (am not sure why), and when I do, they are never small like this. Excepting, uh, these. I have worn the pin before, but not the earrings. But I just HAD to.
And my other jewel - the Anne Klein logo ring. $4.
Yep. Vintage jewels, and a dress I got for $15 that I've worn to at least a half dozen weddings. :) (I normally wear a ton of charm bracelets and gold necklaces with this dress but I was being lazy about packing chains....)
